He will counsel and guide his clients every step of the way, providing a clear understanding of the consequences and potential outcome of any scenario.

Additionally, he is EcoBroker Certified®, well-versed in the broad range of energy and environmental issues that affect real estate transactions, and is an active member of both the California Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
Ted Fleming (Associate) – Ted is keenly aware of how challenging it can be for people to buy or sell a home. It’s a big step, a major commitment, and one of the most demanding experiences in life. Ted demonstrates patience, guidance, and the tireless pursuit of his clients’ best interests, and his dedication and hard work are evident throughout every transaction and beyond. Ted strives to build valuable long-term client relationships, not just successful transactions.
Ted attended Indiana University majoring in Political Science in the Pre-Law program. He moved to California shortly after graduation and took a job with a construction team focused on demolition and remodeling. The years Ted worked in this field gave him insight into the building of structures and the key components of successful investments. Ted also worked in a law firm where he contributed to the successful resolution of a high profile case involving construction and development fraud.
Armed with the knowledge he accrued in construction and law, Ted purchased a “fixer” in the hills of Studio City and income property in his home state of Indiana. Through these transactions it became clear to him that he wanted to be involved in Real Estate on a full time basis. This realization was the catalyst that brought Ted to Rodeo Realty.
Ted is amiable, energetic, and service oriented. Clients who work with Ted are afforded a patient consultant, backed by one of the top real estate teams in the country.
Don Johnston (Associate) – Born and raised in Los Angeles, Don left Southern California for the University of Stony Brook, New York, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, a minor in French, with additional studies at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. He has traveled extensively worldwide for both business and pleasure, living for periods of time in France, Switzerland and Brazil. Don’s knowledge of different languages, cultures and customs gives him the ability to understand and appreciate a variety of approaches to life and business.
Don used his international experience and knowledge of travel during his career in luxury hospitality marketing and hotel development for Starwood, Hilton and InterContinental hotel groups. After years in Manhattan, he returned to Los Angeles, as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Five Star/Five Diamond L’Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills. Don gleaned insights from working with a range of discerning clientele including celebrities, producers and directors, as well as many high net worth individuals.
With a wealth of knowledge, and armed with an array of influential business contacts, Don shifted to a career in real estate sales and marketing. He uses his client service skills, combined with a passion for results, to take every opportunity to create profitable transactions for his clientele. He has a critical eye for a property’s potential and value, as well as the attitude to negotiate a compelling deal.
At 18, before he obtained his bachelor’s degree in business, he began his real estate career working side by side with his mother at Prudential CA Realty in Glendale, where they specialized in bank foreclosures, working closely with major national banks. Later moving to Coldwell Banker, Jeff worked 5 years under CB’s #1 agent in the U.S. handling all of that agent’s listings and buyers. Shortly thereafter, Jeff himself was a top producer earning “Presidents Elite” circle status which recognizes the top 10% CB agents nationwide.
Jeff is also known for creating one of the most successful and recognizable tanning salon chains in the world — Sunset Tan, “The Salon To The Stars” and been featured in hundreds of celebrity publications. E! Network offered Jeff a TV show and built it around him and his tanning salon business including his many U.S. franchises. The program was rated #1 on the E! Network and aired for 3 seasons in over 120 countries with over 130 million viewers worldwide.
Jeff has delegated his Sunset Tan chain to business partners and now focuses entirely on residential real estate. His clients range from celebrities to affluent business men and women in the community. Jeff’s easy going charismatic personality draws people to him; his impressive market knowledge and passion for the business supports a robust and loyal clientele.
David Tamburo (Operations Director / Architectural Photographer) – David holds the position of Operations Director for the Maurice-Rustad Team. He is a California licensed real estate agent, commencing his career in fashion marketing and sales nearly a decade ago. With commensurate experience as a professional photographer, Mr. Tamburo personally handles all aesthetic aspects of photography, as well as the sale and escrow process for all properties and purchases handled by the Team.
Key to David’s approach with photography is mindfulness: Not simply recording images of the property and cataloguing features, he understands how critical it is to take the time necessary to produce correct images to portray each property. His artful presentation of homes evokes the essence of what is, essentially, an emotional engagement of prospective buyers (and agents) viewing the Team’s listings. The process takes significant time, and David’s dedication to ‘getting it right’ is universally lauded by our agents.
David stays abreast of continuing trends in e-marketing, including state of the art web-design, social marketing and internet exposure maximization, for our clients. The clear ‘go to’ member of the Team, he has advanced through the ranks quickly, and has taken on Maurice & Rustad’s philosophy of hands-on, proactive service for all clientele, regardless of the level or detail involved, truly understanding the meticulous follow through and full service speaks volumes about how the firm’s principals believe our sellers and buyers should be treated.
David holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communications from Columbia College Chicago. In his spare time, David is an avid photographer enjoying all types, from landscape to lifestyle. David loves spending time with his girlfriend and their two dogs, pursuing music, cooking and dog rescuing.
Dave Landguth (Marketing Director) – Dave oversees the creation, management and strategy for all aspects of design, print, and web advertising & marketing, exclusively for Peter Maurice & Tregg Rustad at Rodeo Realty, Beverly Hills. Through the use of vibrant photography and carefully crafted property narratives, his commitment is that each home’s unique beauty stand out to both buyers and real estate agents alike. The key to Dave’s success — and the impact of his work — is going beyond objective description of property features, and creating an emotional experience in the reader that evokes the essence of what it would mean to own and/or live in each residence.
With a BFA in Graphic Design from Cal Poly, Dave has maintained a solid foundation in design and advertising, branching into broader marketing roles through years of experience working with several nationwide firms. Notables include DTT Surveillance (A tech firm servicing nationwide restaurant brands) and Institutional Property Advisors (A Marcus & Millichap company servicing multifamily institutional clients).
Dave enjoys spending time with family and feeding his creative spirit through playing drums and creating mixed media sculpture. He does not own a dog but is under pressure from the team to adopt one.
